Break Free from the Chaos: How Your Thoughts Shape Your Health and Your Life

Introduction

Does it ever feel like life is spinning out of control? Maybe it’s the stubborn weight gain that showed up out of nowhere, or the relentless cravings that leave you feeling defeated. Or maybe it’s just the heaviness of it all—your body feels stuck, your energy is gone, and the world around you seems louder and more overwhelming by the day.

I get it.

Life can be chaos, and when you’re in the thick of it, everything feels harder. But here’s the thing: you’re not powerless.

The truth is, there’s an undeniable connection between your thoughts and your body. How you think about your circumstances—your health, your struggles, your day-to-day life—can either keep you stuck or set you free.

Why Your Thoughts Matter

When the world feels crazy and life feels out of control, it’s easy to let negative thoughts take over. You tell yourself:

  • “I’ll never get out of this rut.”

  • “Nothing ever works for me.”

  • “What’s the point of trying?”

But those thoughts aren’t just harmless whispers in your mind—they shape how you feel, how you act, and even how your body responds.

Romans 12:2 reminds us to “be transformed by the renewing of your mind.” It’s a call to action—a reminder that we don’t have to stay stuck in patterns of fear and defeat. When we align our thoughts with hope, trust, and gratitude, our minds become a powerful tool for healing and change.

Update on my Messy Video Journey

Right now, I’m 11 days into a 360-day video challenge (read more about that here). I am posting videos on YouTube and TikTok for 360 days out of this year. Let me tell you—it’s still not easy.

Editing these videos takes time and effort. There are moments when I question if I’m doing it right or if I am just making a huge fool of myself. But I keep showing up because I made a commitment to myself.

And here’s the thing: every time I honor that commitment, I build trust in myself. I’m proving to myself that I can do hard things, even when they feel uncomfortable or imperfect.

And that’s what I want for you—to start trusting yourself again.

When Life Feels Overwhelming

The challenges you’re facing—whether it’s hormonal changes, health issues, exhaustion, or just the sheer chaos of life—they’re real. But you don’t have to face them feeling hopeless.

Here are 3 ways to change your thoughts and find peace in the chaos:

Recognize What’s True.
When fear or negativity creeps in, pause and ask yourself: Is this thought really true?

Example: You might think, “I’ll never lose this weight.” But the truth is, you’ve made it through hard things before. You are capable of change.

Visualize the Best-Case Scenario.
Instead of dwelling on what could go wrong, picture what could go right. Close your eyes and imagine yourself feeling strong, healthy, and energized. This isn’t wishful thinking—it’s training your brain to focus on possibility.

Focus on Gratitude.
Gratitude isn’t just about feeling good—it’s a proven way to reduce stress and improve health. Start small: write down three things you’re thankful for, even if it’s just your morning coffee or a moment of quiet.

A Different Way to Approach Your Health

One of the most common things I hear as a life and health coach is: “I feel stuck. Nothing will ever change.” And I get it—it’s easy to feel that way when you’ve tried so many things and nothing seems to work.

But what if the shift starts in your mind?

What if instead of focusing on everything that feels wrong, you started asking:

  • What can I do today to honor my health?

  • What thoughts are holding me back, and how can I change them?

When you align your thoughts with hope and gratitude, your body listens. Science proves it, and so does scripture. You were fearfully and wonderfully made (Psalm 139:14), and your mind, body, and spirit are designed to work together.

You Don’t Have to Do This Alone

If you’re feeling stuck and overwhelmed, I want you to know there’s a way forward. You don’t have to navigate this on your own.

Whether it’s stubborn health issues, the chaos of menopause, or just feeling like life is too much—I’m here to help you align your thoughts, take small steps, and reclaim your energy.
